As Rafael assimilates into American life as a nanny for the boy he saved and begins to observe human emotions. NASA Director John Cooper does his best to contain celestial purple ooze found on a beach, while his wife, Dr. Maria Cooper, suspects that his long hours at work are a front for an affair. As Rafael continues to conduct his research, he is unaware that a Watcher knows of his whereabouts. Back on Planet Zorka, a plan is hatched by certain members of the Imperial Council to undermine Rafael that could ultimately lead to the destruction of humans.
